Low pressure / vacuum

Products can be exposed to low ambient pressure when used in great heights or during air transport.  We perform tests according to  IEC / EN / DIN EN 60068-2-13 in order to verify their proper functioning during and after the exposure. 

Our laboratories are laid out for air pressures <10 hPa (<10 mbar) simulating heights of up to 35,000 m.

For rechargable batteries (in particular lithium-ion batteries) and their cells we carry out the necessary low pressure tests according to the UN regulations for the transport of dangerous goods UN-T 38.3 (test T1) as well as according to IEC / EN 62133.
