SLG - partner of the GENERIC48V project

Developing a Light Electric Vehicle featuring a 48 V on-board power supply

On 13 and 14 July 2016 SLG welcomes all project partners of "GENERIC48V" who will be discussing the project's progress so far and talking about the next steps.
SLG Prüf- und Zertifizierungs GmbH is one of several partners of "GENERIC48V" developing a Light Electric Vehicle with the objective of obtaining approval for use on public roads. The project is headed by ICM e.V. Chemnitz, a not-for-profit R&D institution promoting innovative solutions in the field of general engineering.

As a result "we would like to develop a new, integrated electronics design for light-weighted class L vehicles on the basis of a 48V voltage level. Furthermore, an undercarriage shall be developed which is efficient and immune to electromagnetic disturbances. This undercarriage for three-wheeled as well as four-wheeled LEVs should then ensure an improved electromagnetic compatibility of the whole system." (Source: "Project outline - Development of an integrated 48V electronics design for light electric vehicles", Areus Engineering GmbH) SLG will mainly be involved in the areas of battery testing and EMC testing as well as collecting legal and normative requirements prior to licensing the LEV.

Other regional and national project partners include Areus Engineering GmbH, Beldrive Engineering GmbH, Pendix GmbH, Modellbau Roth GmbH & Co. KG and Turck Beierfeld GmbH as well as Technische Universität Chemnitz. The project is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
